Products and Materials

What materials are your cookware sets made from?

Our cookware sets are made from either 304 stainless steel or aluminum, depending on the product. Every product page clearly lists the material used.

We focus on cookware without nonstick coatings. That means:

No Teflon
No PTFE
No PFAS coatings

Bare stainless steel and aluminum are easier to maintain long term and better suited for repeated outdoor use.

Is the cookware safe to cook with?

Yes. Our stainless steel cookware uses food-grade 304 stainless steel, a material commonly used in commercial kitchens and food preparation equipment.

Our cookware does not use nonstick coatings that can scratch, peel, or flake during use.

What’s the difference between stainless steel and aluminum camping cookware?

Both materials work well outdoors, but they serve different needs.

Stainless Steel

Heavier but more durable
Handles campfire heat well
Better for car camping and larger groups
Long-lasting with proper care

Aluminum

Lightweight and easier to pack
Heats up quickly
Popular for backpacking and hiking
Easier to carry over long distances

If pack weight matters most, aluminum is usually the better choice. If durability matters more, stainless steel is often preferred.

Can I use the cookware over an open campfire?

Most of our stainless steel cookware sets are designed for use with:

Open campfires
Propane stoves
Butane burners

Aluminum cookware is generally best suited for camp stoves rather than direct fire exposure.

Always check the product page for the specific heat-source compatibility of the cookware set you’re considering.

Can I use the cookware on a home stove?

Our stainless steel cookware is compatible with most gas and electric stovetops.

At this time, our cookware is not rated for induction stovetops unless specifically stated on the product page.

How do I choose the right cookware size?

General recommendations:

1–2 people: 1.5L to 2L pot sets
3–4 people: 2.5L or larger cookware sets
5+ people: 3L+ cookware with multiple pots or pans

Each product listing includes recommended group sizing and packed dimensions.

Orders and Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

Payments are processed securely during checkout.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement on business days.

Please email support@doucevoie.com with your order number as soon as possible. Once an order has shipped, cancellations are no longer available, but returns may still qualify under our 30-day return policy.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes. After placing an order, you’ll receive:

An order confirmation email
A shipping confirmation email with tracking information once the order ships

If you don’t see the confirmation email, please check your spam or promotions folder first.

Shipping and Delivery

How long does shipping take?

Most orders arrive within:

1–3 business days for processing
5–7 business days for shipping transit

Delivery estimates may vary depending on carrier conditions and destination.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. We offer free standard shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Currently, we only ship within the contiguous United States (48 lower states).

We do not currently ship to:

Alaska
Hawaii
Puerto Rico
Guam
APO/FPO/DPO military addresses

My tracking says “Delivered” but I can’t find my package

Before contacting us, please:

Check around your delivery location
Ask neighbors or building staff
Wait up to 24 hours, as carriers sometimes scan packages early
Contact the shipping carrier directly using your tracking number

If the issue continues, email support@doucevoie.com with your order number and any carrier case information.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include:

Your order number
Photos of the damaged item
Photos of the packaging

Once verified, we’ll arrange a replacement or appropriate resolution.

Returns and Refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery if:

The item is unused
Original packaging is included
All accessories are returned

To start a return, email support@doucevoie.com with your order number.

Who pays for return shipping?

We cover return shipping if:

The item arrived damaged
The wrong item was sent

Customers cover return shipping if:

You changed your mind
Ordered the wrong item
No longer need the product

We currently do not provide prepaid return labels.

How long do refunds take?

Refunds are processed within 3 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.

Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 3–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Do you offer exchanges?

We do not process direct exchanges.

The fastest option is to:

Return the original item
Place a new order for the correct product

Care and Maintenance

How should I clean stainless steel camping cookware?

Rinse shortly after cooking when possible
Soak briefly for stuck food
Use mild dish soap and a soft sponge or brush
Dry thoroughly before storage

Avoid steel wool or harsh scouring pads, as they can scratch the surface.

Is the cookware dishwasher safe?

Some stainless steel cookware sets are dishwasher safe, but repeated dishwasher use may dull the finish over time.

Hand washing is generally recommended for longer product life.

Can I use metal utensils?

Stainless Steel Cookware

Yes. Metal utensils can be used normally.

Aluminum Cookware

We recommend wooden or silicone utensils to reduce surface scratching.
